Travelling Tips

about

  • Always empty your humidifier of water before packing your CPAP equipment in your carrying case.
  • Research your destination to determine whether power adapters for plugs are required in order to operate North American electronics (your CPAP machine).
  • If you are flying with your CPAP, you can bring your CPAP machine on the airplane with you and it will not count as one of your carry-on items. Never check your CPAP machine because through normal luggage handling procedures, it can be easily broken.
  • When flying, if possible, bring your prescription. While not required, it may be useful in providing your need for CPAP if ever in question.
  • Pack CPAP wipes and cleaners to ensure you’re able to continue to keep your CPAP mask and equipment clean.
  • Portable batteries and power accessories can allow you to continue your CPAP therapy during unexpected power outages, or during travel.
